Each channel consists of a power MOSFET with a charge pump, a current sense circuit, a diagnostic circuit, and a protection circuit. The device can be controlled by a logic level input signal and provides a proportional analog current sense signal and a digital status feedback signal for each channel. The device offers several protection features, such as current limitation, overtemperature shutdown, open-load detection, short-circuit latch, overvoltage clamp, reverse battery diode, and loss of ground and loss of Vbb protection. These features ensure the safe operation of the device and the load, and provide diagnostic information for fault detection and isolation.
