L9369 is a power management integrated circuit (IC) that targets the specific application of electric parking braking (EPB) systems. It is suitable for system configuration in cable-puller or Motor Gear Unit (MGU) modes. It is designed to meet the high standards of automotive applications, with AEC-Q100 qualification and functional safety concept for ISO26262 compliance.
The main features of L9369 are:
Two H-bridge driver stages to drive 8 external power NFETs for the rear wheels brakes actuators. The stages are fully driven and configurable via SPI, also in PWM control mode and protected against overcurrent, with drain-source and gate-source voltages monitoring.
10 integrated fully differential amplifiers with low offset, very precise gain, and self-test. They are used to perform a synchronized motor voltages and currents acquisition, via 10 ADC sigma-delta modulators.
Two configurable HS/LS stages with programmable output voltage to drive LED arrays, with feedforward regulation. They can be used to indicate the status of the EPB system or provide additional lighting functions.
2 Motor Speed Sensor (MSS) interfaces to acquire position feedback from brake actuators via external Hall sensors. They are shared with Lamp driver stage and GPIO pins.
4 General Purpose I/O (GPIO) pins and a button interface with 9 configurable I/O pins to manage specific customer requirements from EPB button console both in Normal and Sleep Mode.
Monitoring on main power supply and continuous BIST for internal regulators.
Double Bandgap reference for high accuracy and stability.
32-bits - 10 MHz SPI with CRC for internal setting, self-test and diagnostics.
Full drive of external power NFETs down to 5.5 V battery input voltage.
System wake-up in Sleep Mode via button interface or MSS.
Watchdog (configurable via SPI) to detect and recover from system failures.
The L9369 is available in LQFP 64 10x10x1.4 mm package. It operates in a wide temperature range from -40°C to 150°C. It has a low quiescent current of 10 μA in Sleep Mode and 5 mA in Normal Mode.
The L9369 is a versatile and reliable solution for EPB systems, offering high performance, flexibility and protection. It can be easily integrated with other automotive components and controlled by a microcontroller via SPI. It can also be used for other applications that require H-bridge drivers, differential amplifiers, ADC channels, LED drivers, and GPIO pins.
